Printmaking: beginner printmaking

During this 5-week course you’ll learn a range of introductory printmaking techniques including monotype, linocut, dry-point etching, stencilling and image transfer.

Our experienced tutor will provide you with a thorough introduction to each printmaking method, designed especially for beginner students. 

You’ll get to take home everything you produce – proofs, print editions and the blocks or plates you create your prints from. You’ll also be provided with many tips for a well-rounded approach to developing your studio practice at home. 

Suitable for complete beginners, full instruction provided on materials, products, tools, equipment and studio procedures. 

This program occurs every Sunday for a duration of 5-weeks.

  • Week 1: 30 August, 10am to 12:30pm 

  • Week 2: 6 September, 10am to 12:30pm 

  • Week 3: 13 September, 10am to 12:30pm 

  • Week 4: 20 September, 10am to 12:30pm 

  • Week 5: 27 September, 10am to 12:30pm

Small class size: maximum 8 students 

Level: designed for beginner level students 16+yrs

Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes 

Bring: yourself – all materials provided
