Saturday 11 May from 10:30am to 12pm
On Saturday, 11 May, the ‘catwalk’ will become the ‘pupwalk’ at Ovolo Woolloomooloo when an exclusive fashion show – hosted in collaboration with local pet rescue service Pound Paws – comes to life during Australian Fashion Week (AFW).
Attendees and their pets will enjoy a dog runway show, furry-friendly activities, paw-traiture sittings and more, to raise funds and awareness for Pound Paws.
The ticket price includes arrival champagne and baked goods from Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s in-house restaurant, Alibi, as well as dog-friendly canapes for furry plus ones by Sassy Treats. A dog fashion parade, starring rescue dogs from Pound Paws, will take centre stage with four-legged models sashaying down the ‘dog’ walk solo or assisted by ballerinas from Sydney-based studio, Village Nation Dance Academy.
Complementing the paw-some fashion will be experiences and treats from local collaborators including:
Live illustrations by acclaimed local artist Grace Choi
One-on-one sessions with an animal communicator
A pledge station, where pet owners promise lifelong commitment to their furry companions will be on offer, with pledgers receiving a special golden pendant and certificate as tokens of their dedication
The event will also launch luxury dog brand, Mon Petit Amour Manolo, founded by renowned designer Crystal Lynn. Lynn’s brand draws inspiration from globe-trotting adventures with her beloved pooch Manolo, and has a mission to revolutionise the pet fashion industry, offering luxurious dog accessories that reflect the impeccable taste of both pets and their owners.
