Jeonghwan Kim is an astonishingly powerful and sensitive young artist now set to take the world by storm. At just 23 years of age, he is the winner of both the First Prize and Eileen Joyce Best Overall Concerto Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition 2023.
Critics agreed, as Jeongwhan’s barnstorming post-competition winners tour generated glowing reviews and rapturous audience responses to his “extraordinary dynamism” and “deeply impressive” (The Age) performances, remarking on “all that youthful energy, strength and vehemence” and his “easy and open” stage presence (Limelight).
Australian audiences were thrilled to experience the jaw-dropping energy and excitement of this remarkable pianist – certainly a winner to watch, well into the future.
Now this exceptional young artist returns to Australia as a Piano+ Emerging Artist, ready to once again set the stage alight while performing selections from the works of Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and Bartok.
