Join us for Oxtravaganza when ‘Darlo Does Mardi Gras’ as only Darlinghurst can, with celebrations and activations for two weeks starting Friday 18 February through to Sunday 6 March.
The official parade may have relocated but Oxford St plans to party on, with local businesses ramping up the glitter-vibe and our celebration of the Pink Mile will see dozens of businesses coming together to offer special retail promotions, live music and performance, viewing parties, outdoor entertainment, art walks, plus food and drink deals.
Saturday 26 February is ‘Shop Till You Drop’ day on Oxford St. With the best vintage stores, drag queen costumes, and leather, glitter and sequins a-plenty, people will be encouraged to come, shop and put together their Mardi Gras outfit. Live Performers will be roaming the streets and performing inside stores. Expect Drag Story Time, Poetry, Clowning, Wrestling and a drag queen "selfie booth"
Across the full 2 weeks, explore an ArtWalk or our full program of live performance and talks Cabaret Oxtravaganza, Drag and Queer performers taking to the stage.
And on Parade Night Live Viewing Parties, tuned into the live ABC broadcast, will be held in many bars and clubs as well as in retail outlets like clothing stores and record stores.
