The exhibition is the fruition of various inland painting journeys made by John Ogburn.
Country which is neither hostile nor depressing but in fact heart-stoppingly beautiful and dramatically untamed, including Walpiri country in the Northern Territory, Kalkadoon country in Queensland and Adnyamathanha country in South Australia.
All the paintings were begun and completed in the motif in a direct response to the land as it revealed and unfolded itself in the artist’s eyes.
