Friday 23 May from 7:30pm to 10pm
Step into an historic Scout Hall – a landscape of form and memory, filled with weathered chairs, sculptural timber, and Laura Altman’s curious arrangement of pots and pans. Amongst these objects, sounds riff through the space, performing text from The Living Room Theatre's back catalogue – 25 years of work, laid bare. A visceral gesture of trauma and resistance.
Around two lone women, the soundscape swells: Jim Denley, Daniel Raymond, and Alex Tucker conjure sonic spells that ripple through the room, while members of the LRT family wait patiently, holding placards that read Stop Killing Women. We carry these words not as protest, but as invocation – grief turned into action.
This is no ordinary night. It is a reckoning, a celebration, a call to stay with the trouble. Bring your sign. Bring your body. Be part of the ritual.
