Classes run weekly on Saturdays during NSW School Term periods. There are 6 sessions per school term. Late enrolments will be considered.

A journey through music of the 17th,18th and 19th century, suited to all musicians aged 14-19 (Years 9-12). This course focuses on:
Score analysis
Rhythmic and melodic dictation
Sight-singing
Key paradigms of the period
Works of Bach, Beethoven and Brahms
Emergence of the symphonic form
A perfect preparation or extension course for those intending to, or who are currently studying International Baccalaureate (IB) Music, HSC Music 2* and/or Music Extension.
*Music (1600-1900) is a mandatory topic of HSC study for Year 11 Music 2.
