31 cinematographers. 21 countries. 1 global pandemic. Nowhere To Be is an intimate documentary and invitation to see the COVID-19 pandemic with fresh eyes. Not only is it a profound montage of our bustling world in stillness, but it also beautifully captures the meaning of “unprecedented”, a word that lost meaning post-2020.

As the world came to an unexpected pause in early 2020, a group of storytellers from around the world turned their lenses on themselves. Looking inward, and outward at a changed world, watch in real time as they examine hopes, regrets and offer profound reflections on this shared moment in time.

From the quiet streets of Senegal, the deserted avenues of the USA to New Zealand's serene landscapes, this film traverses the world, offering a unique perspective on a moment in time that has indelibly marked a generation. We see the breathtaking beauty of towns and cities lying in wait as we delve deep into the minds of these filmmakers.

Ultimately, Nowhere To Be is a portrait of the enduring spirit of creativity and the very human desire to keep telling stories, even in the face of global upheaval. Join for this free Australian premiere.
