Mosman Charity Clothes Swap

Where
Mosman Art Gallery
Mosman Art Gallery
Art Gallery Way and Myahgah Road, Mosman NSW 2088
Grand Hall
When

Saturday 28 June from 10am to 1:30pm

We are fundraising for the Women's Resilience Centre, who support those affected by domestic violence with practical health and wellbeing programs to reset and rebuild lives.

Please bring up to SIX items of QUALITY clothing in excellent condition for any size, age and gender. Excellent condition means clothing is clean, pressed and free from rips, holes, stains or major faults. Only bring items you would proudly give to a friend.

Items could include:

  • Tops, shirts and blouses

  • Pants, jeans and shorts

  • Skirts, dresses and suits

  • Jumpers, cardigans and jackets

  • Belts, bags and shoes

  • Scarves, ties and hats

We will not be accepting:

  • Fast fashion

  • Jewellery

  • Underwear, socks and swimwear

  • Sportswear, activewear and tracksuits

  • Anything stained, torn or unclean, noticeably worn out, pilling, frayed, sweat stained, smelly, marked or far from perfect

Fast fashion is NOT accepted at this swap, in order to disrupt the excessive flow of fast fashion taking over our wardrobes.  This is because fast fashion is unsustainable, unethical and exploitative. Swaps prove that people can get affordable clothing without buying fast fashion.

Places are limited so don’t miss this opportunity to swap, mingle, and maybe even find some hidden gems!

This event is being co-hosted with the Women's Resilience Centre. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the Resilience Circle shop or Wayside Chapel.
