International sensation and award-winning jazz artist Matt Von Roderick celebrates his latest album, Celestial Heart. Known for his captivating blend of classic, lush tones, exhilarating multiphonics, loops, and spoken word, Von Roderick has been praised as “exquisite” by the International Trumpet Guild. The New York Times describes him as “a post-millennial Chet Baker,” while JazzTimes Magazine calls him “a top-drawer trumpeter who sings like an angel obscured by a storm cloud.”
Von Roderick’s poignant sound has graced venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and The Kennedy Center. He has collaborated with artists such as Brad Mehldau, Neil Diamond, and Dionne Warwick, and appeared on SNL and The Ellen Show. His accolades include 1st place in The Independent Music Awards Jazz Category and finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition.
