Join us for an action-packed, navy themed free open day.
To mark the 125th anniversary of Australia’s Navy, the museum is holding a free Open Day where visitors can meet Navy personnel, tour naval vessels, hear service stories, and join interactive activities.
Highlights of the day
On The Water: Step aboard all our vessels including HMAS Vampire II, submarine HMAS Onslow, patrol boat HMAS Advance, and more!
Live Performances: Enjoy the RAN New Orleans Band, a special Yidaki performance, and family fun with Sally Bubbles’ Navy BBQ.
Stories & History: Join expert talks on the Navy’s origins or hear moving readings of personal letters from personnel at the Theatre.
Hands-on Fun: Meet the Australian Clearance Diving Team One and check out their state-of-the-art equipment, see impressive model boats, or learn signal codes and radio messaging.
With face painting and Sailor Style kids’ activities, there is something for the whole family!
