Maritime Museum open day

Join us for an action-packed, navy themed free open day at the Maritime Museum.
To mark the 125th anniversary of Australia’s Navy, the museum is holding a free Open Day where visitors can meet Navy personnel, tour naval vessels, hear service stories, and join interactive activities.
Highlights of the day
On The Water: Step aboard all our vessels including HMAS Vampire II, submarine HMAS Onslow, patrol boat HMAS Advance, and more!
Live Performances: Enjoy the RAN New Orleans Band, a special Yidaki performance, and family fun with Sally Bubbles’ Navy BBQ.
Stories & History: Join expert talks on the Navy’s origins or hear moving readings of personal letters from personnel at the Theatre.
Hands-on Fun: Meet the Navy Clearance Diving Team (and their robots!) see impressive model boats, or learn signal codes and radio messaging.
With face painting and Sailor Style kids’ activities, there is something for the whole family!
