April 2023 will mark 20 years since Simone’s death and, on this special occasion, Zulu will perform signature tunes such as Ain’t got no, I got life, I put a spell on you, Please don’t let me be misunderstood, _and _Feeling good.

Major Zulu has recently performed at the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival and released singles Tryin’ times, Broken _and The DIY project called life. She has featured as a gospel singer in the French film _Jamais contente and has worked with the Grammy Award–winning band Basement Jaxx.

After a sold-out Matisse-inspired concert at the Art Gallery in 2022, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

This concert will take place in the Kaldor Hall in the Gallery’s historic building, now called the South Building, with a selected gallery space open for viewing before the concert.

Drinks and light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Seating will be concert style.
