City of Sydney Library Lunchtime Conversations is a fortnightly series of free online talks with authors, artists and experts.
Join the author of Kids Money Habits, Amy Koit, to explore tools for teaching primary school aged kids about money. If you’re keen to help your kids become financially literate or want to know if you should pay them pocket money, then this event is for you.
In this 1-hour interactive online session, find out what financial literacy means, the significance of chatting about money with kids, and how to introduce different money concepts at home. You’ll learn about the fundamental building blocks of financial literacy – earn, save and spend – and how to cultivate these habits at home. Amy will also pinpoint daily opportunities where parents can apply the lessons.

As a lawyer, accountant, lecturer and mother-of-three, Amy looks at finance from all angles. Seeing the deficit in building healthy financial foundations, she investigated the many methods of teaching financial literacy, before developing her own and authoring Kids Money Habits.

The guest speaker’s presentation will be followed by the opportunity to join smaller group discussions before a final Q&A session.
