Lunar New Year at the Art Galley of NSW

When

Saturday 10 February from 11am to 2pm Wednesday 14 February from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Wood Dragon with a series of free events for all ages at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

It’s a program that invites you to reimagine traditions through cross-cultural exchange.

Celebrations begin on Saturday 10 February 2024 with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony followed by a lion dance. In the afternoon, drop into a creative workshop for a hands-on art-making activity.

The workshop will be repeated on Wednesday 14 February as part of Art After Hours, when the whole Art Gallery stays open late.
