Live music at Hayes Street Studio

Hayes Street Studio presents the latest edition in its iconic YOLO Solos Series, featuring violinist Beatrice Colombis and cross cultural flautist Chloe Chung. YOLO (you only live once!) shows offer listeners to experience a rapid fire burst of virtuosity from exceptional and diverse artists around Australia. 

Beatrice Colombis is an award winning Italian-Australian violinist who was selected as an Emerging Artist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in 2023 and 2024. Beatrice has travelled and performed with various string quartets, including touring NSW and taking part in masterclasses and festivals in Finland, Austria and Germany. Recently her quartet Elvina did a residency in Munich with the Schumann Quartet and last year had a masterclass with the Vision String Quartet. Other chamber music collaborators include Anthony Marwood, Julian Smiles, Roger Benedict, and the Brodsky Quartet. 

Chloe Chung is an innovative cross-cultural flautist, playing Western classical flute and dizi (Chinese bamboo flute), teaching music, and collaborating with others to foster unexpected musical forms and connections throughout Sydney. Her passion for creativity, sustainability and health education are central to her work as an active performer, teacher, and emerging creative director.
