LGBTQ+ safety workshops for LGBTQ+ community members

Following on from the release of our guides: A Guide to Hosting LGBTQ+ Events Safely for local councils in NSW and a companion guide for LGBTQ+ event organisers, ACON has continued a program of work to respond to a rise in hate incidents and crimes against LGBTQ+ communities.

In partnership with the City of Sydney, we are running an in-person LGBTQ+ Safety workshop for LGBTQ+ community members. This workshop will run from 10 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday 10 August 2024. This workshop aims to bring LGBTQ+ community members together to connect and discuss LGBTQ+ safety, share resources and discuss responses to harm. if you are a community worker, please register for the community worker workshop on Thursday 8 August 2024.
