Sunday 24 September from 10am to 3pm
Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre is the home of community-based basketry, calligraphy, painting, paper arts, photography, and textiles groups. The centre is opening its doors for the community to see the workshop facilities, meet the artists, and experience the activities of the different groups in addition to an exhibition of work by the members in the centre's gallery.
Everyone is invited to participate in the community project on kite making, suitable for the young and young at heart. You are invited to make kites using paper, wood, twine, paint, glue, and other sustainable materials. Materials will be provided, members will be on hand to assist and the adjoining park is an ideal testing ground to fly them.
This event is part of the Sydney Craft Week Festival 6-15 October 2023.
SCW is an Australian Design Centre initiative. View the complete festival program.
