When

Every day, all day Thursday 1 July 2021 to Saturday 31 July 2021

Sew a Softie in July is a free month long online event with daily simple to sew softie tutorials posted to get kids ( and mums) learning to sew.

With Sydney in lockdown, there is no better time to teach your kids a new old skill!

Sew a Softies aim is to inspire a new generation to sew not only to learn a new skill but to show kids how clever they really are.

To get started, you'll need a needle and thread, some pins or clips and some stuffing and felt or fabric.

No felt or fabric at home? Recycle some clothing...an old pair of pj's, a t shirt that no longer fits. No stuffing! Use some fabric scraps or an old pillow insert!

Links to daily tutorials will be posted on the Sew a Softie instagram feed. A free sew a Softie facebook group is open to anyone to join and ask any sewing questions.
