King’s Birthday at the House 2026

You are invited to come to Government House, as we mark the King’s Birthday, at Sydney’s ‘Castle by the Harbour’.

What’s happening?

The event is from 10am till 3pm. Entry is free of charge. There is no parking on site.

• enjoy the music of the NSW Police Big Band on the Eastern Terrace and, in the Drawing Room, a vocalist and pianist from the Australian Army Band.

• check out vintage and classic cars on display courtesy of the Royal Automobile Club of Australia.

• meet Guide Dogs and talk to their handlers.

• explore the spectacular State Rooms of Government House.

• see the dining table dressed for a Vice -Regal occasion.

• have a picnic in the gardens.

• take a selfie with our 2 metre King's Cypher. 

• discover the Garden Sculpture Walk.

Normanhurst Scouts will be fundraising with their famous Sausage Sizzle, with cold drinks also for sale.
