Urasenke Sydney has a chado demonstration and workshop in the Royal Botanic Garden. Urasenke Sydney is a registered charity that has put on tea demonstrations for public/school students for over 50 years.

This year we will first demonstrate chado and then invite participants to try whisking matcha (Japanese tea). Participants can learn how to whisk matcha and taste Japanese sweets.

Tickets are $50 and included in this experience:

  • Demonstration of Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony 

  • Having Traditional Japanese green tea and sweets 

  • Experiencing how to make good tea

  • You can see traditional Japanese kimono 

Program: Choose one of 3 sessions [11am / 12:30pm / 1:45pm] Max 20 guests per session

  • Booking is essential (Ticket holders only event)

  • No children under 9 years old

  • No wheelchair access

  • Please arrive and check-in 15 minutes before Session time

This is a great opportunity to learn about Japanese culture.
