So you've invested in some good quality knives; you are enjoying the sharpness and the precision, but you want to take care of them; this is the class for you.

This class will teach you the skills to sharpen your knives properly on a whetstone and how to maintain your knife for many years to come. Learn skills for removing chips, broken tips, and more from Nari, an expert in the field of knife sharpening and care.

Location: Maido/Provider Studio

A maximum of 6 participants

What you'll learn:

Basic knowledge about knives both western and Japanese knives 

Learn about knife materials, whetstone grits and types, types of cutting edges and common pitfalls when it comes to sharpening. 

Practical skills like assessing the condition of your knives, removing chips and broken tips, how to hold and determine sharpening angles, removing burr, how to touch up and test your knives.

Great for beginners.

Class includes: 

3-3.5 hour lesson with Nari

Ice Tea & Cold Brew plus some light refreshments

You are more than welcome to bring your own knives & whetstones otherwise we will have some available to use for learning purposes.

*Please wear closed toed shoes
