Curious about 3D design? Join this 3-hour beginner session at Darling Square Library Makerspace and learn how to create and print your own 3D models using Tinkercad, an easy-to-use web-based design tool.
This hands-on workshop is perfect for adults with little to no experience in 3D design. You’ll learn how to navigate Tinkercad, create simple custom designs, and prepare files for 3D printing.
Whether you’re interested in prototyping, product design, or just exploring a new creative skill, this introductory class will give you the foundation you need to start your 3D design journey.
What you'll learn:
How to navigate and create designs in Tinkercad
Basic principles of 3D modeling
Tips for preparing your designs for fabrication
By the end of the session, you’ll have the foundation to explore design, environment modelling, or animation in Tinkercad.

Cost: $40 full price / $33 concession per person
Bookings and class size: Maximum 8 people – bookings are essential
Suitable for: Suitable for ages 16 and over
Parental permission is required for under 18s
Experience level: This is a beginner workshop with no required knowledge
Wear: Enclosed shoes and no loose-fitting clothing or jewellery
