Get ready for an exciting and hilarious night of improv comedy theatre as we present two classic improv formats in action: La Ronde and the Harold.

Our teachers are our cast for The Formats We Teach (TFWT) and will take you on a wild ride as they improvise their way through these dynamic and challenging formats. Buy your tickets now before they sell out.

Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS) is Sydney’s first and only dedicated improv theatre with 5 star reviews on Google. Have you heard about Chicago Long Form Improv, Second City and SNL and wondered what is was all about? Come down to check out what all the noise is about at ITS in Redfern.

The audience get to sit back and relax and enjoy the show. This isn't stand-up comedy, no one will get picked on or brought on to the stage. You can relax and watch these masters create a brand new show in front of you.

Why not make a night of it in Redfern with dinner at Atomic before the show and drinks after at The Alex?

"The laughter was constant and loud throughout."

Theatre Travels

We've got some of the best in the business in The Formats We Teach from our Faculty and Ensemble including Cale Bain, Kate Coates, Hayden Wright, Laura Hart, Steve Kimmens, Orya Golgowsky, Jeeves Verma, Alex Smith and Ciaran Magee, with years of experience and training in the art of improv comedy. They bring a unique blend of creativity, humor, and skill to each performance, making every show a one-of-a-kind experience that you won't want to miss.

In this special show, you'll get the chance to see two classic improv formats in action: La Ronde and the Harold.

La Ronde is a unique format where each scene is connected to the one before it, creating a chain of interconnected scenes that tell a larger story. Our performers will take you on a journey through a series of hilarious and unexpected twists and turns, as they connect each scene to the next in a seamless and entertaining way. It's inspired by a French play and film and our format for Level 4 students.

In the Harold format, our performers will take an audience suggestion and explore it through scenes and group games. It's a classic format invented in San Francisco and made famous in Chicago. The Harold is our format for Level 5 students, come see what our Faculty and Ensemble can do.

So mark your calendars and join us for The Formats We Teach - a night of improv comedy that will leave you laughing and begging for more.

Tickets are available now, so grab yours before they sell out!
