Come to the iconic and intimate Foundry 616 for a night of new Australian improvised music.
IBID is Keyna Wilkins (piano/flute) and Shane Carpini (drumset). Together they play stream-of-consciousness improvisations and their own compositions inspired by journeys, astronomy and philosophy.
In January 2023 they recorded their debut album, “Spaces In Between” at A Sharp Studios mixed and mastered by Matt Stewart.
Wilkins is a pioneering Australian/British composer-musician. She was one of three finalists for the Australian Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence in 2021 and 2018.
Carpini is a prolific drummer and composer.

10pm: INLAY
The Inlay Ensemble are an improvising/new music string collective directed by Elsen Price.
The group has performed at numerous events local to Sydney including public concerts, performance for the retiring Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and events on Sydney Harbour.
Inlay Ensemble received 4/5 stars in The Australian for their debut album "Songs for Habitual People" released on Portuguese label Creative Sources Recordings.
