Friday 28 June from 8pm to 10:30pm
Meera Belle, Wil Linder and Band bring to life the nostalgic sounds of the ‘70s showcasing three legends of music: Carole King, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt.
These Giants of pop and rock music typified the smooth pop and rock music of the time perfectly with songs like “I Feel The Earth Move”, “How Sweet It Is” and "When Will I Be Loved?”.
Join us at Camelot Lounge from 7pm on June 28 for this joyful retrospective celebration of these three classic artists.
Linda can no longer sing due to neurological illness first thought to be Parkinsons, yet she was one of the biggest selling female artists in across folk/country/pop/rock and even jazz. She pioneered female inclusion in modern music and defied her record executives to record a Spanish album they said would finish her career.
Carole is another female pioneer of the same era, has had a musical written about her (Beautiful: The Carole King Story) and joined James Taylor to sell out concerts in their later years defying the odds of pop.rock "youth" focus to be still selling worldwide today.
James Taylor defied a total lack of interest from radio stations in his later years to continue selling millions of albums and concerts worldwide and recorded duets with both Carole and Linda which we will present.
Meera Belle is a singer/writer/producer/musical director and has been a performing artist worldwide for almost 30 years across the genres of Opera, Rock, Pop, Jazz and Cabaret and is a sought-after award-winning vocal coach in the Hawkesbury with a post graduate degree in Opera Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music.
She is also the president of HEARTS: Hawkesbury Entertainers and Artists Regional Theatre Society as well as co-owner of BelleKat Productions (cabaret and variety).
Wil Linder is a local emerging singer-songwriter who regularly sells out his own shows.
