Join us for a talk with Wendy Sharpe, one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists and winner of numerous awards including the Archibald Prize.

Wendy will discuss the ways in which history is powerfully portrayed through the medium of art. She will also share her thoughts on the Sydney Jewish Museum’s feature exhibition Shaken to his Core: The Untold Story of Nolan’s Auschwitz.

The event will feature a screening of excerpts from a recent documentary showing Wendy painting her ‘unseen’ 40-metre mural on the walls of the gallery at the Sydney Jewish Museum in 2021.

The ephemeral mural titled Vu iz dos Gisele portrayed the history of Wendy’s family in Ukraine.
