The Great Southern BioBlitz is an international biological survey that enlists the help of local residents to record living species across the southern hemisphere.
Take photographs or sound recordings of plants, birds, insects, animals, and fungi between 24 and 27 November, and upload your observations to the iNaturalist app by 11 December.
You can also join Dr James Macnamara, City of Sydney’s urban ecology coordinator, for a community biodiversity survey in one of the largest parks in the inner city.

What you need:
smartphone with iNaturalist app installed (available free on Google Play or Apple Store)
camera (optional)
enclosed shoes and clothing suitable for the outdoors.
