Dianne Cripps

Renowned singer-songwriter Dianne Cripps is set to captivate audiences with her highly acclaimed album I Told the Ocean Your Name. Working with acclaimed arranger and song-writing partner Matt Thompson (2020 ASCAP Herb Albert Young Jazz Composers Award & 2021 Wangaratta National Jazz Award winner), and Emmy award-winning producer Sean Carey, I Told the Ocean Your Name explores concepts of family, meaning, and different forms of love – fledgling, forgotten and forbidden. These original compositions and lush arrangements pay homage to her Southern roots as well as to the Australian landscape.

“Formidable. Impressive…gorgeously attractive harmonies…real jazz sensibility. 4/5 Stars” - Eric Myers, The Australian

“Dianne Cripps is something of a dynamo!” – Loretta Barnard, Australian Jazz Net

Dianne Cripps – vocals, Hugh Barrett - piano, Tom Ford - double bass, Steve Ley - Drums
