Have a drink and a meal while learning about the next generation of science!

Each night, six new and emerging scientists discuss their latest discoveries and how they could impact our lives.

Held on the first Wednesday of each month, Future Science Talks Sydney connects scientists with the general public.

Each scientist speaks for 10 minutes, followed by a short Q&A where YOU - the audience - can ask for more information about each talk.

Talks vary widely from speaker to speaker and have included:

  • The Future of Emojis

  • Psychedelics and mental health

  • Ocean plastics

  • Community gardening

  • Using spider venom to treat strokes

  • Preventing loneliness

  • How much alcohol we should really be drinking

The event is at East Village Sydney, at the Athletic Bar (middle floor). Grab a drink and hear about the next generation of science!

Speakers are sourced from a range of research institutes, universities, non-profits, government bodies and the private sector.

Visit our Instagram page or Eventbrite listing for the latest info on the lineup of speakers.
