Exploring Egypt: Ancient Egyptian School Holiday Workshops

Explore ancient Egypt this school holidays with archaeologists and ancient historians from the Chau Chak Wing Museum as we take you on a journey through the collection of amulets, scarabs, shabti figurines and coffins.

Throughout the workshops, you'll be able to:

• Handle ancient Egyptian artefacts and discover how archaeologists learn about the past

• Learn about the process of mummification and help us wrap our mummified body under the watchful eyes of Anubis

• Make your own scales to weigh your heart against the feather of truth

• Play games including hieroglyph bingo and our giant game of Senet

• Learn to write your name and other words in hieroglyphs on papyrus

These activities are perfect for children aged 6-12. Parents/guardians are required to stay with children throughout the session.
