Dymocks Children's Charities Great Debate 2024

Back for its 18th year, Dymocks Children's Charities is delighted to present our biggest event of the year, The Great Debate Gala.
Join us as we raise much-needed funds to support critical literacy programs for disadvantaged children across Australia.
The event will take place at the five-star Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney’s CBD. You will enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner with selected fine wines while being kept entertained with a thought-provoking debate, and live and silent auctions including money can’t buy experiences.
One of the highlights of the evening is watching out two teams led by team captains Adam Spencer and Rob Carlton. Topic to be announced.
About the charity
Dymocks Children's Charities are an independent, Australia-wide charity who provide brand new books to children in priority locations around Australia. We do this because children who are exposed to good books and read regularly have better educational outcomes and lead healthier and happier lives.
Despite some improvements, literacy levels in Australia remain of concern, particularly amongst the most vulnerable groups in society. In Australia, 1 in 5 Australian students are unable to read at a basic level.
