On a day like any other, 6-year-old spoodle Dodger (Ruby Blinkhorn) wakes up with consciousness. A sudden onset of dreams, aspirations, and a bone-ified awareness of the fragile nature of existence means humping the couch no longer cuts it. Trapped in a canine body, but with the rare ability to communicate to audiences, this pup is searching for answers to the big questions. Ruby will jump between dog, owner, and an array of eclectic characters in a sketch play that is absurd, raucous, and will make you piss your pants a little.

Whether you’re a dog-lover, comedy-lover, or need a reason to leave the house, this show is a joyful and thoughtful musing on life and a reminder that anything is pawsible (ha ha).

Following her sell-out solo shows ‘My Wisdom Teeth Are Broken, I’m Stupider Than Ever’ and ‘Doggy Bone Soup’, Sydney Fringe veteran Ruby is bringing audiences a tight 55 minutes of sketch, character, and musical comedy. Hilarious, naughty, and brunette – Ruby is Australia’s answer to Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Reviews:

“Really bloody funny” – ½ The Umbilical Brothers

“Witty, warm, intelligent, wickedly, achingly funny and moving” – SCF Audience Review

“Ruby is audacious and unabashedly quirky” – Theatre Travels

The creator would like to acknowledge that their show takes place on unceded Gadigal land. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
