Discovering and Sharing Our Light – A Creative Workshop

When

Wednesday 26 November from 12pm to 2pm

Join artist and art therapist Alina Camiller, recipient of the Dying to Know Day Grant, for a gentle, hands-on workshop exploring memory, connection, and the light we each carry within.

This single workshop is delivered in two parts, allowing time for reflection and transformation between sessions:

Part 1 – Drawing and Bead Making

Through a guided drawing journey, participants are invited to imagine a walk through a small, magical shop — a place where they discover an object that represents their inner spark or joy. Using this drawing, participants will create unique handmade beads from their artwork, symbolising the beauty of personal discovery and transformation.

Part 2 – Weaving the Light Within

Participants will use natural materials, including the elegant Bangalow palm inflorescence, to create a small vessel that holds their light — a symbol of connection, presence, and renewal. The process will be slow, tactile, and meditative, focusing on creativity, conversation, and gentle reflection rather than the finished product.

Alina’s workshops evolve naturally in response to participants, weaving together art, storytelling, and shared experience. They are designed to be welcoming and nurturing spaces for all — no art experience is needed.

This workshop is free and all materials are provided.

Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate, supportive group setting

No art experience needed – just curiosity and an open heart.
