Demystifying Casting and Audition Processes with Daisy Hicks

When

Saturday 17 August 2024 from 11am to 4pm

This session is for any performing artist who has auditioned for a screen project in person, via Zoom, or self-tape and wondered, “How did I get here?”, “Did that go well?” or “Now what?”. If you’ve ever had questions about auditions or casting, this workshop is for you.

This masterclass will include reviewing pre-recorded self-tapes and live mock auditions through the eyes of a Casting Director. It will be a positive, safe, and open space for you to ask questions. Daisy intends on demystifying the casting and audition process so the next time you have an audition or tape, you can focus on your performance!

Please Note: Up to 10 participants can elect to tape and perform. Up to 15 participants can audit (watch, take notes, and ask questions) only.

Note for Self-tape/Performing Participants: Daisy Hicks will provide scenes for artists to select from for their self-tape and mock audition 2 weeks before the workshop. The self-tapes will be due 5 days before the workshop.

Please Note: No phones or recording devices are to be used during the workshops.
