Thursday 12 October 2023 from 7pm to 8:30pm
We all remember Deborah as the lead singer of Do-Re-Mi and from her iconic album covers: sultry on String of Pearls and smothered in Nutella on Bitch Epic. In her memoir Book of Life you get to read the dirty details of one of the most powerful and renowned women working in the Australian music industry.
Deborah Conway has had the inside track to the Australian music industry for 40 years and now sets it down in black & white in Book Of Life.
On Thursday 12 October at The Royal Oak, join Conway in conversation with Justine Clarke, a well known entertainer.
Copies of the Book of Life (out in October with Allen & Unwin) will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Conway signing copies after the discussion.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot. Why not make a full evening of it, too, by ordering a meal at the Royal Oak before or after the event? One of Balmain's oldest and most loved pubs, it serves a delicious range of food and beverages.
If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the home page and from the live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
