Community planting for National Tree Day – Harold Park

Where
Harold Park
Harold Park
Next to Tramsheds, 1 Dalgal Way, Forest Lodge NSW 2037
Meet at the Wigram Road and Ross Street end of the park
When

Friday 25 July from 10am to 12pm

On National Tree Day help us plant 1,500 native grasses, herbs and wildflowers in Harold Park.

By planting specific grasses that native insects prefer, we can support bees and butterflies, enhance pollination and provide food for little birds.

This year, we’re boosting biodiversity around this inner city area by planting in the habitat corridor that runs from the Glebe foreshore along Johnstons Creek. When patches of plants are close together, it’s safer and easier for animals to move around our city.

For your safety

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Please wear enclosed shoes and dress sun safe. We recommend trousers, hats and long sleeves.

  • Catch public transport as parking is limited.

  • Bring your own water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them. Fruit and water will be available.

  • This event may be postponed or cancelled in extreme weather.

Free but registration essential. To register your interest in attending please email communitygreening@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au

You can also join us for a planting day on Sunday 27 July, 10am to 12pm at Federal Park, Annandale.
