Collection Conversations: Design

Join us for Collection Conversation: Design – a talk about how everyday objects can tell powerful and surprising stories. 

From carved currency to café chairs and suburban shopping centres, discover how design shapes not only what we use but how we live. This session explores how visual language, form and function reflect culture, identity and change. 

Each month, the Collection Conversations series invites you to explore history through the eyes of Powerhouse Museum volunteers. Inspired by the Powerhouse Collection, these talks spark curiosity and conversation, blending storytelling with unique insights from volunteers and curatorial research.
