Celebrating the Merewether and Mitchell Fellowships

One of the chapters in the Library's rich history documents the extraordinary work of our research Fellows. As we mark 200 years of collecting, we can look at some of the deep and meaningful ways our researchers have worked with these collections. Hear from Effie Karageorgos, who researched the quiet protesters of the Vietnam War; Nick Pitt, who explored colonial-era benevolence and charitable work; and Shirleene Robinson, who revealed some of the contributions made by women to Australia's queer rights movement. In a panel moderated by Mitchell Librarian Richard Neville, these historians will talk about their work and their time at the Library as a Fellow. 

This special event will feature the announcement of all the researchers who will be in the Library's 2027 cohort of Fellows and Residents.
