Celebrate Sydney Town Hall: Read To Me - How To Be Alive!

When

Saturday 9 March 2024 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm

As part of Celebrate Sydney Town Hall, Sydney’s leading community graphic storytellers presents one hour of fun tales for all ages.

Come and listen to 6 stories told with big, beautiful pictures about how strange, funny, and complicated it is to be alive. Stories about coming in last, about which cloud is staring at you, about death and dinosaurs, about turning people you know into collectibles.

Our storytellers illuminate the realities and absurdities of life with facts and fiction. Join us for an event showcasing the talents of local illustrators, children's authors, and cartoonists, including the creators of the bestselling picture book "Alphabetical Sydney," Hilary Bell & Antonia Pesenti; Wai Chim & Freda Chiu with their book "Last-Place Lin." Cartoonist Eleri Mai Harris, Illustrator Jenny Lee and cartoonists Scott Wrigg, Fionn McCabe, and Evie Hilliar.

They will accompanied by live sound design from Walkley award winner Martin Peralta

This is a free event open to all ages. We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact Teik Kim Pok, programs coordinator on 02 9265 9333 or TPok@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.
