Friday 22 August from 10am to 10:45am
Meet author Deborah Frenkel and be inspired by the backstory to her book The Truck Cat, which is a National Simultaneous Storytime book.
Picture books may look pretty simple. But usually, there’s a whole journey behind them – and the best ones have plenty of twists and turns! In this session, author Deborah Frenkel will take you on a behind-the-scenes look at how her book The Truck Cat came to be. She’ll cover inspiration and story sparks, building characters, mapping out a structure and of course, Deborah’s favourite part – the collaboration between author and illustrator, in this case award-winning artist Danny Snell.
Suitable for children aged 8-12 years.
This event will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join the session with your booking confirmation. For help with joining and participating in Zoom Webinars: Joining and participating in Zoom Webinars.
