Bangarra NAIDOC Week workshops

When

Wednesday 9 July from 10am to 11:30am Wednesday 9 July from 12:30pm to 3pm

In the spirit of reconciliation and cultural sharing, Bangarra’s Youth Programs Team will offer NAIDOC Week dance and creativity workshops at our Sydney home in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct on Gadigal Country.

Together, we’ll explore this year’s NAIDOC theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, honouring 50 years of celebrating the resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This is open to all students, Kindergarten to Year 12.

Sessions will include dance workshops blending traditional Indigenous movement with a contemporary lens. Plus, visual arts workshops, including boomerang painting, clapstick decorating, weaving, and more where participants will create their own unique pieces to take home.
