About the event
The evening commences at 7pm with tango music selected by DJ Juan. Dancers familiar with tango are welcome to take to the dance floor. Guanaco Trio takes the stage from 8pm to 9pm, weaving their mesmerising melodies into the fabric of the night. The evening of dance concludes at 10pm.
About Guanaco Trio
Originating from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Guanaco Trio unites three musical souls from around the world to interpret the folkloric music of Argentina. The trio features Laura Urteaga (Catalunya/Argentina) on violin, Benjamín Aedo (Chile) on guitar and our own Australian bandoneonist Owen Salomé. The group focuses their study of Argentinean folkloric tradition but will be sharing with us a tango repertoire consisting of tango standards with their particular interpretation.
This event is presented by Tango Synergy, a not-for-profit association of tango dancers.
