Hear stories about the residents of this Gothic Revival mansion and how life was for both family and servants at a time before electric lighting. Visit the private quarters of William Charles and Sarah Wentworth and their ten children and learn about their lives and extensive travels in Europe. Complete your visit with nibbles and a glass of wine in the servants’ kitchen.
Vaucluse House is situated in a valley on Birrabirragal Country and was the home of politician and barrister William Charles Wentworth and his family. It has been a museum since 1915 and part of Museums of History NSW (formerly the Historic Houses Trust of NSW) since 1980.
