The Alexander Nettelbeck Trio are a synergy to be reckoned with, captivating audiences with their energetic and eclectic style.

Alexander Nettelbeck, piano and Simone White ,drums will be joined by the Carlo Tapia on bass.

The trio will present material from albums ’Trio’ and ‘Here Today’ and from the forthcoming release 'Back Home’ a groove laden excursion into electric future funk, afro beat, latin soul jazz, and cinematic dub rock (MGM Distribution).

Alexander Nettelbeck, piano, keyboards 

Alexander Nettelbeck is a Melbourne-based musician whose playing encompasses classical, jazz, and contemporary music. With a list of musical associations ranging from Ju Ju Space Jazz,  Kate Ceberano to Deni Hines, Vivian Sessoms (USA), and baroque violinist Davide Monti. He has performed extensively both at home and overseas with his own groups at Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, St Kilda Festival, Tuscia In Jazz, Italy and Piwinica Pod Baranami Jazz Festival, Poland ,and for events and festivals in the UK, France, Germany, Portugal, Japan and New Zealand.  His compositions have featured in theatre, radio, film and television including ABC and SBS.

Sim-1, AKA Simone White, drums

L-O-V-E is the fuel that powers drummer/producer/composer/multi-Instrumentalist Simone White (aka Sim-1). As one of San Francisco’s top drummers – where he laid down a monster backbeat for Bay area luminaries like Michael Franti and Spearhead, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Afro-Mystik, Midnite Voices, and recorded and toured with artists like George Clinton, Mark Eitzel, Sakia and more – Simone followed his heartand literally moved to the other side of the planet – Sydney, Australia. Now Simone is performing and recording with artists like Alexander Nettelbeck, doing remote session work and collaborations with Carl McIntosh of Loose Ends, 05Ric, Nadir, DJ Butterface, Michael Turner and others. As Sim-1, he unleashes his futuristic, groove-heavy, electro jazz funk compositions on unsuspecting dance floors across the globe. 

Carlo Tapia, bass

Carlo Tapia, co-founder and former electric bass player of the multiplatinum award winning Filipino band, Freestyle, is based in Sydney, where he has been actively involved in the creative and live music scene for the past 18 years. He has toured extensively in the USA and Canada with Freestyle, and in Asia and around Australia with jazz fusion trio, KF3. He has collaborated and recorded over a dozen studio and live albums throughout his career, including his own original music, as well as tracking bass for independent Australian artists. His influences are deeply rooted in funk and jazz fusion.
