Connect Sydney: Governance training for First Nations orgs

Thursday 22 May from 9am to 4pm

This governance training is for organisations supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and will include:

  • Learning about the roles and responsibilities of board members, executives, and staff.

  • Identifying conflicts of interest and apply strategies to manage them

  • How to engage in inclusive decision-making that reflects community needs and aspirations

This is a full day workshop facilitated by John Byrne from Absec.

Limit of two people per organisation.

This workshop is part of the City of Sydney's Connect Sydney program, funded by the Department of Communities and Justice. The program aims to build the capacity of community and not-for-profit organisations through the provision of free skills and governance training for organisations that support and provide services to children, young people, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability within the City of Sydney local government area.
