March Dance Festival

Discover the diversity of independent dance practice in Sydney at March Dance. More than 60 artists and 9 companies in Sydney will present new dance works. There’ll also be workshops, dance classes, residencies, screenings, forums and talks.

Hyde Park Barracks is home to a major site-specific installation by Indigenous artist Jonathan Jones. The art looks at the symbols of the maraong manaóuwi (emu footprint) and the English broad arrow. Visitors are able to walk on top of the work, a process that intentionally results in the work’s slow destruction.

Talking Bodies: The Fondue Set

Late Night Library: Talking Bodies series

The workings of the choreographer’s mind are revealed in this series of ‘dance lecture’ events. Held at Surry Hills Library, the program features 3 of Sydney’s most celebrated dance and performance artists: The Fondue Set, Angela Goh and Latai Taumoepeau.

Art Month
