Martin Place Christmas tree Christmas tree provides a seriously Instagrammable backdrop for Christmas lovers in November and December. The tallest Christmas tree in NSW is decorated with more than 110,000 LEDs, a 3.4m colour-changing star and 330 glossy baubles.

Light and sound shows every night from 8pm to midnight (every 15 mins).

The tree will be up (with light shows) until 1 Jan

See a twinkling curtain of LED lights with Sydney's iconic baubles and Christmas messaging, this curtain is the largest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. It's also the first of its kind in Australia with 91,500 lights in total, it's sure to make you go 'ahhhhhhhh'.

Walk through, take photos and listen to the harmony of the Barangaroo Bells as they light up the waterfront and Watermans Cove.

Christmas at the Strand Arcade

In an ode to the beauty of the Australian landscape, the Strand Arcade is adorned in Christmas decorations inspired by native flowers. More than 3,500 individual twinkling Christmas lights cover each of the ornaments from tip to toe.

The animated Christmas windows are inspired by the book The 12 Dogs of Christmas, a playful depiction of a puppy’s first festive season. This year’s lively display is spread across 7 of the retailer’s Castlereagh Street windows, featuring one giant three-dimensional puppy and 76 animated dogs all counting down to Christmas.
