Sydney Streets brings food, shopping and fun outdoors

Your favourite neighbourhoods come to life with alfresco dining, entertainment and live music.

After a burst of popular events earlier this year, Sydney Streets is back.

Neighbourhoods will once again become car-free zones over weekends this spring. The events bring festival vibes to 7 inner-city neighbourhoods with plenty of live music, entertainment and alfresco dining. Local businesses will bring their best with great deals, games and more, so get out and show them some love.

Sydney Streets on Redfern Street, Redfern

Sydney Streets in Redfern

There are so many ways to enjoy Sydney Streets in Redfern. You’ll find pop-up bars from The Tudor Hotel and The Redfern, an outdoor pinball competition from Beercade and live music and DJs from The Sunshine Inn and The Dock. After huge popularity last year, Mark’d Tattoo will host another flash day, so you can skip their long waitlist for tattoos by signature artists.

Join a painting class for children and adults at Sydney Creative, indulge in delicious flavours at Wokman Redfern or sip frozen mangonadas from Itacate Mexican Deli.

Sydney Streets in Haymarket

The Haymarket event falls the same time as Moon Festival, so get down to Hay Street and surrounds to enjoy the festivities. Chat Thai, Chongking Hot Pot and East Ocean Seafood will bring delicious traditional bites, while Sweet Lu's will provide the moon cakes and other sweet treats. Groove to a live DJ at Covent Garden Hotel in the afternoon followed by some lively karaoke fun.

Sydney Streets in Glebe

Head on down to Glebe as the buzzing Glebe Point Road comes to life. Catch live music, tapas, sangria and paella all day at Despana and Indonesian sweet treats from Salt and Palm.Dirty Red will be have a wine bar for the parents and facepainting for the kids and Soul Burger will be providing tasty plant-based burgers.

Sydney Streets on Stanley Street, Darlinghurst

Sydney Streets in Darlinghurst

Expect lots of alfresco wining and dining from all of your Stanley Street favourites. DJs will fill the street with tunes from Stanley’s Bar and the Lord Roberts Hotel. Harrys by Giuls will have an aperol cart, pizza slices and live musicians. Indulge in the best italian eats from Sagra and Bill and Tonis.

Sydney Streets on Crown Street, Surry Hills

Sydney Streets in Surry Hills

Surry Hills businesses unite for a fun-filled day and evening out on the vibrant Crown Street. The Clock Hotel will wake up the northern end of the street closure with a pop-up bar and live DJs. Down on the southern end, Ardis Block to Grill will host a food stall and and a live musician, while innovative Indian restaurant Masala Theory will have a pop-up food stall and DJ. Surry Hills Fine Wines will also be hosting tastings of their selection of wines, spirits and cocktails.

The Harris Street event is a great morning or afternoon out for all the family. Explore fashion and gifts from Urban Oasis. Or work your core with Sense of Power Pilates. Don't miss pop-up bars from Porter's Liquor, Quarryman's Hotel and Element's Bar and Grill.

Sydney Streets on Macleay Street, Potts Point

Sydney Streets in Potts Point

Potts Point is home to some of the best bars, restaurants and a range of lovely boutiques. Expect DJs and a pop-up bar at The Roosevelt, a stall with everything you need for your furry friend from Pets Point, and authentic French cuisine from Rustic French. Top it all off with something sweet from The Chocolate Box.
