Carriageworks Farmer’s Market, Eveleigh

Culinary enthusiasts flock to Carriageworks Farmers Market every Saturday for fresh seasonal produce, gourmet cheese and butter, beautifully cured meats and other delicious eats and treats. All products on offer have been produced in NSW. The markets are curated by acclaimed chef Mike McEnearney and follow a strict market charter to ensure quality and to uphold its connection to growers and producers.

Markets at Glebe

The Markets at Glebe are located at Glebe Public School.

If bargains are what you’re looking for, you’ll find them here. With many stalls hosting racks of pre-loved fashion, you might get lucky with the occasional designer item, as well as second-hand books and unique artwork. When you’ve found what you’re looking for, grab a bite to eat, pick a spot on the grass and chill out to live music.

If you have your own pre-loved fashion or things to sell, you can even apply for a casual stall yourself.

Sydney Fish Market, Pyrmont

A seafood lover’s dream. Upgrade your standard fish and chips to a freshly caught seafood feast including prawns, lobster, scallops, and beer-battered flathead at Sydney Fish Market. You can either eat at the market, or take a short stroll to Pirrama Park and enjoy the waterfront views. The venue also houses the Seafood Cooking School.

Bondi Farmers Market and Bondi Market

Every weekend there are 2 markets on offer at Bondi Beach Public School.

The Saturday market is all about fresh produce and gourmet eats. Find seasonal fruits and veg, organically grown meat and poultry, just-picked flowers, artisanal breads, homemade jams, farmstead cheeses, seafood, olive oils, herbs, spices and more.

The Sunday market is best for trinket lovers. It boasts an array of local designer clothing, handmade jewellery, art, homewares, records and everything vintage. The best part? The markets are right next to Bondi Beach. Wander through the markets on your way home from a dip in the ocean. What a way to spend a weekend!

Kirribilli Markets

Kirribilli Markets are a cult favourite amongst the fashion set: renowned for secondhand designer clothing. Held twice a month, the second Sunday focuses on fashion, art and design while the fourth Saturday of the month features a bit of everything.

Paddington Markets

Paddington Markets is famed for launching the career of fashion designers such as Zimmermann and Lisa Ho, and host more than 150 stalls ranging from fashion, homewares, and art. It’s hard to leave empty handed.

Chinatown Night Market

In the heart of Chinatown is one of Sydney’s most popular late-night shopping spots. Food stalls and lanterns will take food lovers on a journey with tastes from Hong Kong to Hanoi, with yum cha, teppanyaki, takoyaki, sushi, Sichuan, pho and more.

The Rocks Markets

With a background of sandstone buildings and the harbour bridge, these are markets with a view. Head to the historic precinct on a weekend to check out stalls from talented local makers, chefs and artisans. You can also catch a free yoga class.

Bring a picnic rug and sit under the shade of the bridge.

Cambridge Markets EQ, Moore Park

Location, location! After you pick up your fresh organic produce and treats at Cambridge Markets, head to Centennial Parklands to enjoy acres of greenery with the family. If you happen to get caught in the rain, Entertainment Quarter has great attractions such as two movie theatres and indoor recreation centre.

Bonus: Every month the Sydney Vegan Market is held at the Entertainment Quarter. This plant based mecca brims with food, eco-friendly products and a vibrant community vibe.

Marrickville markets

Bring the whole family to Marrickville organic food markets. There is face painting, a jumping castle and pony rides to keep kids occupied. While they’re having a blast doing that, treat yourself to an organic coffee and enjoy everything from Nutella scrolls to vegan desserts to triple-cheese toasties.

Kings Cross Markets

It’s food galore at Kings Cross Markets. Arrive with an empty stomach – there’s heaps of food to choose from – and a big basket ready to stock up on fresh flowers (including lots of natives), handmade goodies, organic fruit and veg, delicious cakes, bacon and egg rolls and Syrian specialties.

Rozelle Collector Markets

For 2 decades, this open-air market has built a reputation as one of Sydney’s favourite spots to find pre-loved, vintage and antique clothes and bric-a-brac. There’s also delicious food and live music.
