Martin Place Christmas Tree
The Martin Place Christmas tree provides a perfect backdrop for a festive December. Choirs perform carols every Thursday to Sunday in the lead-up to Christmas and are guaranteed to turn the Christmas spirit up to 11. The GPO Dessert Bar is back, so you can treat yourself to a gelato, coffee or cake under the tree’s branches.
Christmas shop windows
The David Jones Christmas window displays are a Sydney Christmas institution. Stop by Elizabeth Street to see what’s in store this year. You won’t be disappointed.
QVB Swarovski Christmas tree
Sydney’s treasured Queen Victoria Building is home to Sydney’s tallest Christmas tree this Christmas. The 24 metre Swarovski Christmas tree is the centrepiece of their decorations. The QVB is also home to the Enchanted Garden. Follow the spell-binding lights to see Santa Claus amongst the blooms.
Lights of Christmas
St Mary’s Cathedral is illuminated with a spectacular free lighting display every night from 5 December to Christmas Day. Sydney’s favourite Christmas tradition includes nightly choir performances at 7.30pm.
